Hi Guys
I'm a newbie to this site and I call home South Africa.
Some help if possible - i cannot get the stock and barrel separated on above.
I got the shotgun back from storage a couple of days ago and I couldn't get the barrel and stock to "break" to load a round. The barrel unlatches and starts moving - but not even 1/4" and then jams up. I've removed the pre-stock, swivel pin and trigger mechanism and i cannot get the stock and barrel separated.
Has anybody else experienced problems like this?

Any advise welcome.

No I never run into this.
Sounds like your ejector is hitting your firing pin or the ejector latch is sticking.
Start with the forearm off open it as far as it will go (working the top lever) try to open and look down the space between the barrel and receiver and see if your firing pin is sticking out if it is then use a small screw driver to push it back into the receiver.
If is not then look in the same space and see if the ejector is pushing on the receiver if that is it then push the barrel towards the receiver and try to open it.

Thanks Mike

I managed to resolve the problem.

By the time I posted I was at my wits' end with the gun because the problem was not obvious. After taking some time and thinking about the problem I picked up the gun again and did a much closer inspection with a torch on the inside of the stock in the chamber where the stock and barrel engages. The spring mechanism at the bottom of the barrel that operates the ejector pin has a small pin through it. This pin had somehow shifted out of position by about 1/8" and was the cause of the problem. The space I had to work with to try and get the pin back into position was pretty frustrating but I eventually succeeded and got the barrel out. I popped the ends of the pin holes of the problematic pin with a center punch to prevent this from happening again. Gave old Faithful a proper clean and re-lube on all the moving parts and she's all dandy again.
Thanks for doing the effort and trying to help.
Louis
