My best friend's father was on a battleship and he told us that they used to drop shells 1/2 a mile away into garbage cans for practice. We were only 10 years old and he may have been joshing us, but the man never joked about anything else. I wish that he was still alive to tell us stories.

It's a great tour and the symbolism is fantastic. The Missouri is berthed facing the Arizona and permanently standing guard. Also the US involvement in the Pacific theater in WWII began with Pearl Harbor and ended on the deck of the Missouri. Very special stuff.
I bet that puppy dog didn't appreciate being hurled out of a perfectly good aircraft.
Great Pics! Thanks
