If what you have is a revolver ( That information is even unknown ), then the odds are you have a very early Johnson and Bye or Iver Johnson. Only Lamont Cranston knows for sure.

Would you possibly still have pictures of all the parts? I have one just like yours, but missing the cylinder stop and spring. I think I could make the parts, if I knew what they looked like.

Thanks. I knew it was a long shot. I'll post a pic & more info. I could have bought a fully working one for what I overpaid for this incomplete one. I like to fix old guns, even sometimes if it really isn't worth the effort.
