Here I was all set and saving money. Looking forward to my first 1911 and it was going to be a good one. Then you guys just had to go and post info about S&W 60's. The 1911 is now on the back burner and the 60 is up front. Sigh, now I just need to decide on caliber. Of course I already have dies and components for .45 and nothing for revolver. Sumbich, this ain't easy

I know I'm probably preaching to the choir but if you are looking at J-frame type revolvers, I'd suggest you try a Ruger LCR in .38 or .357 mag. The new cam trigger is reminiscent of the old Colt's. I'd take it over a S&W any day, & it's cheaper. What's not to like?

I like auto's, but there's nothing like a nice revolver.........Yeah, well, I did not pick my favorite type of guns from movies or TV shows either! ( I actually had a guy from work get a lever action rifle because "he wanted to shoot it fast" like the rifleman on the old TV show!) He learned real quick............LOL Cmax

Jeez Troops...I feel so very inadequate when you speak of guns the way you are!!!
Would you like to have some plumbing hints ? Did you know that the water in all the traps seals on all your plumbing fixtures are subject to evaporation? Now, I just chance to guess that is not 'earth-shattering' news for you ...shoot, it happens by the actions of nature..."so what", you remark. The kitchen sink, the lavatories in your bathrooms, the tub and shower stall...all that trapped water provides a positive seal so that the noxious (and dangerous) sewer gases don't enter the home. If you are going away for any extended period of time (days) on vacation, it helps if you put some slower or non-evaporating type substance on top of the water trap seal...mineral oil, vegetable oil, gun oil....just enough of the substance to cover the water surface....of course there will be evaporation from the other side of the trap seal, but much slower...many time folks will have asked neighbors or relatives to check on things while they are gone, hence flushing and running water probably has been a normal feature in the past...whatever substance you select to accomplish this proven hint, when you return, douche out the fixture with some liquid dishwashing soap and flush liberally...Chief cook and bottle washer!

Greetings Don 3...I noted your address and some of my favorite memories come fro West Allenton Road, North Kingston when I lived there with my family while in the Navy Seabees at Davisville...Son Timothy was born at the Quonset Point Naval Hospital during a hurricane in September 1961...Chief

I don't know why you would want to buy any of them.......Just get a Moped instead.
The 1911 is too big and shoots too fast, the j-frames are too ugly and conceal too well.
You sure wouldn't want a magna-ported model.....U_G_L_Y.........and never consider
an SP101 even if it is the toughest and strongest J-size in the universe.......
