I have to work Sunday and due practice time with my CCW , will be in line at the Indoor Range Saturday morning. The little M&P is like an Engine , performs best when it gets warmed up so may need a couple more boxes of 9MM.

I'm invited to attend a "long range" shoot this weekend being held by a black powder shooting group, ranges will be 200 and 100 yards, this might prove interesting firing a fixed sighted muzzle loading rifle sighted for 50 yards at those ranges.

I was out shooting my GSG 1911 .22 a couple of weeks ago when it quit working. The slide wouldn't close. I got it home, took it apart and found out the spring guide had broken. The spring was bent out of shape. I looked for replacement parts on Google. EBay had several listings but none of them would ship to the US. Intersec LLC has the part from CW Accesories, again shipped from the US, and they would ship.

Finally I tried searching on DuckDuckGo and came up with a CW Accessories source right here in the UK: AW Armoury, and their total cost was about the same as it would have been to order and ship from the US. It was sent first class signed for mail, so I got it pretty much the next day.

So guess what I'm doing this weekend? Yep. Testing out the new part, to make sure it works. And I'll probably practice with a couple of other guns on the same trip.

Hope you and Photobucket get reconciled soon.

I usually just upload straight from my computer to TFF; don't bother with photobucket.

In the reply box there are three buttons to click...Post Reply, Upload a File, and More Options...
On some occasions, the "Upload a File" has not been visible, but it is between the other two buttons. Click it, and navigate to the file on your computer that you want to upload.

Select Thumbnail or Full Image, post reply, and you're done. The site only accepts certain kinds of files. .jpg, but not .bmp, for example.

Still a lil peeked from hosp stay but got to shoot 2 rounds of skeet saturday and shot 24, 24.
Sunday I finished some loads for my 6mm SLR and took it to the bench. Two 100 yard 5 shot groups at .487 and 2, 200 yard 4 shot groups at .698 and 2, 300 yd, 4 shot groups at 1.24".
Really pleased with my loads using Berger VLD target bullets and RL19 powder. This is my 600 to 800 yard prairie dog getter and it really does work at least at 640 yards as that his the furthest I have shot so far.

I know how you feel about still getting over the hospital stay, Uncle Fudd. It takes a bit out of you to sit and do nothing, but not get much rest because the nurses keep waking you up for this or that. So now I'm trying to recuperate enough to get out and just touch off a few rounds just for the sound and smell. Maybe tomorrow, it snowed most of the day today.

Tap it light for a few days. I'm fortunate that my loading room is only about 60 yrs from my bench and it is my own property with no neighbors. I can shoot out to 300 yards without moving.
So it was no strain other than going to the skeet range. I have a little fold-up, 3 legged stool I carry with me so I can shoot and sit while the others shoot and then one to the next station. No strain.
PITA to get old, but trying to be wise about what I can do and the folks I shoot with are very considerate.
Take it easy my friend.

I'm easing myself back into it slowly. I overdid it the first full day out of the hospital because I felt good, and ended up setting myself back by doing so. It's finally getting cold here, we got some sow today and the temperature never got out of the mid-20s. It's time to move the reloading table into the heated house instead of the unheated garage, by high opinion of the wife. She doesn't want me down there in the cold reloading, so we set aside some space for me to work in the house. She knows that reloading has become very meditative and therapeutic for me and sees it as a good thing for me to do. Who am I to argue with such a wise and good woman? Seriously though, she has been a godsend for me through all of this. She makes sure I am taking care of the things I need to take care of, and helps me with everything else as well.

Pretty much been shooting, loading and casting every day since last Wednesday and intend to continue this afternoon. Mostly two Germanic rifles, my Schuetzen and new to me 1908 M/S and, a lovely little British girl, a Rook rifle re-lined to 25-20 WCF. However, the siren song of black powder has been calling louder and louder of late. I fear the song cannot be neglected much longer.

Spent 3 hours at the club today (day off) but two hours was BS'ing. Between myself and 2 RSO's on a slow day, we have officially solved all of the US problems. (Get rids of liberals) :D

Shown below is the new girl (Cimarron Colt ) and the Win94.
The target was the result of the 1873 Trapdoor with 405 gr pills behind 26 grs of AA5744, still my most accurate load with this rifle. BP doesn't come close to grouping like this at 100 yards, even with 500 gr bullets.
