I need to reload 38 + P out of a 357 gp100 . The only alloy I can get my hands on is 88% Bismuth, 12% tin. Is anyone familiar with this?
1)Will this be so hard that it could hurt the bore?
2)Does bismuth expand during cooling (what diameter of mold would be used if so?)
3) I saw some nickel coated 000 shot (I know this has a lead core, but would love to use this in self defense loads (not on the range) using two shots per case), anyone know the effect nickel would have on the bore?
thanks for your help
