Anyone have a spare set? I have a buddy on a budget that has a German 8mm Mauser from WW2 that his dad gave him, in good condition and he wants me to reload for him.
PM me if you do.

THank you! Not sure if he wants to remain anonymous but I have a set of dies on the way for my buddies rifle. We'll take better photos of the rifle once we get loaded for it and at the range.
If you have more info on this rifle's history please share. I know nothing about them.

Slayer nailed that one, both times! The ol' 8 X 57 is one of the most underrated hunting cartridges in the US, not that it matters. There's only about 1,500 which at their worst are excellent.

You're right Mak. In 1905 The Germans went to the .323 groove diameter. Bore stayed the same. Should be able to get a bigger expander button and they would work.

The 8x57 is an excellent round! One of my favorites actually. I would slug the bore just to be sure its .323 and definitely check the free bore also. Perhaps I'll make a thread the ones I have. One likes 150's with IMR4895, the other likes 196's with 4064 and 175's with 4895. Haven't had much luck with 165's but I haven't given up on those just yet.
