It looks like someone belt sanded a engraved name off the side of the receiver.

And it doesn't cycle worth a hill of beans.
Its not elevating the next round correctly.

I ordered a new feed block, elevator and spring.
Receiver and trigger group has been sanded to remove all ugliness

Currently working on the stock.

As I was working on the stock I seen the indentation in the wood left by the action screw. I then began investigating that and the threaded hole in the action is a through hole.
So now I'm curious if may a couple threads of the action screw are impeding the flow of the rounds onto the elevator.
As some rounds wanted to or tried to feed vertically.. 40.00 garage sale special.

Yeah it's a good idea to get all 3 parts together. i've seen some people get the new feed throats that don't match up to the bolt style that they already have. Also there is 3 types of lifters, so those can also get mismatched. I was lucky, my bolt was able to used with the new feed throat and lifter. My gun is a 1979 model. Good luck with yours they are fun to shoot.

sorry for the confusion.. the action screw that's on the forearm or fwd screw. the block that this screw mounts to is the same block the tube feed rides in and the ammo passes through that block. . my receiver has a tapped through hole. that in essence the screw could pass through a thread or 2 and impede the flow.. theory of course I have not confirmed it

i really have not looked real close at mine to see how deep that hole goes. But i don't think they would make it possible for the screw to interfere with ammo. Plus the ammo is inside your inner tube,( where the inner tube spring is.) The only way that screw could interfere is if it was pressing hard on your outer tube pinching the inner tube. In that case you would have a rough time even getting your inner tube out to reload the gun.

You may be right. I can't remember how far the outer tube extends in the block. I think the inner tube might go into the block a little further than the outer tube does, but i'm not sure. I'm pretty sure though that stock screw isn't interfering with your ammo flow.

I scaled the stock thickness at the screw hole.. spun the screw into the receiver to that measurement.. you are correct not only did it not come through. it can't come through. they stopped just short of completely tapping that hole. not a very good photo (hard angle to photograph)
But you can see the tip of the screw right at the edge..

Jueff, did you have any problem getting your barrel out? I was going to mess with mine when i 1st got it a few years ago, but decided against taking it out.
I have had trouble in the past with them. but a padded vice on the barrel and a peice of hard wood dowel and a couple taps on the dowel placed against front of receiver with a hammer remedied the situation..remember to drive the pin out that locks barrel to receiver.. it only drives out one way. barrel is splined my problem is getting proper alignment of splines so pin seat fully
