You you have given me two great ideas! I have an extra 10-22 stock laying around that I was going to modify for my grandkids AND wallpaper for my reloading room!
Guys I'm gearing up to go to Frankenmuth Mi here in an hour for family christmas photos. ill post the blonde with the action in it when I get home this afternoon.. its my time to get ready for the photos lol.. hope I don't break the camera
A little tip for gaining stocks to play with... hit ebay keep an eye peeled for the stocks that look like they been through a war.. buy them cheap. and make em look new.. if you fudge one your not out any signifigent money
It looks great, Jeff!
I noticed in pic #7 what appears to be a serious crack behind the receiver. Did you repair that, too? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Good eye... yes its repaired.. I used a syringe and needle bought at the local farm store that has some animal first aid supplies.
With a modified clamp I spread the crack as far as I dare and injected it with WeldWood. its a powder you mix with water that sets rock hard if mixed correctly. it flows well through a needle.
Then clamped it and let it set.. it has held up well
