My grand-daughter that is. Her birthday was this past Sunday, turned 7 years old. I looked around local for a pink Cricket .22. All I could find was black and was worried she wouldn't like it. When I gave it to her she said "look, a black rifle like grandpa's." Got a box of CCI CB longs to go with it.
We spent yesterday on firearm safety over and over. Today (with some help) she loaded, cocked, aimed and shot. I had a paper target with a deer on it showing the heart/lungs. From about 7-10 yards she didn't make any heart shots but sure punched the lungs out.
She says she's ready to hunt squirrels for grandma to cook. Told her we might need to practice some more first. Yep, she's a black rifle girl!
