I have a heavy barrel Savage .243 with a 9.25" twist. Will a 107 Sierra Match King bullet stabilize with this twist rate? I know 1 in 10 won't and 1 in 8 will but I'm not sure my barrel will stabilize this projectile.
It's the length of the bullet that might make it iffy not the weight of the bullet. The bullet might need a longer distance to stabilize like maybe 150 to 200 yards instead of 100 yards. Your max could be 105 grains. Only way to find out is to shoot it.
There are two ways to make a bullet spin faster, change twist rate by changing barrels or change the velocity of the bullet.
