Reporter needs to learn how to write and the editor needs to learn how to edit.

Might be "5/8 of an inch wide", but that's a big difference from "the world's smallest at 5/8 of an inch".

Now, this is a small 45. Semerling. Not 2 shots with two more stored in the grip to quickly reload (hopefully). 5 shot magazine. 19 ounces fully loaded. No longer in production, which is why that one can be "smallest in production".

:) I like that little two shot Herzel derringer. Small, light, easy to slip into your pocket when you run to the store for some forgotten item. I think I will purchase one sooner or later. I do believe that two 45 slugs will suffice in most situations. I read that they use ball bearings in the action for a smooth trigger pull.

Looks like they are still being made to order ;)

i'll stick with my G36 if i want a small .45....it'll shoot circles around some of these newer "pocket rockets", and is a soft shooter

Nice, but I prefer the stainless steel AMT Backup in .45, 6 rounds of potent .45 and fits in a back pocket like a wallet.

"Tatical Reload" Now that don't make much sense for this type of gun!

Someone posted the other day about needing a light gun to carry in their shorts. Maybe this is it. Otherwise can't see owning one

Not much difference between that and a derringer other than price.

I'll take my Beretta .25 over that any day. It may not have the knock down power, but it is manageable and can hit what it is aimed at.

That damned Blaze always freezes up my computer. Wish they'd cool it with all the pop ups. Anyway, just can't see the point in that little thing. There are plenty of smaller pistols to be had in .45 acp with a higher capacity, that can fit in your front pocket. How much smaller than that can anyone need.

Hello. I am a collector and have most derringers out there in it.
I have a painfull to fire 45 Downsizer and a virgin Semmerling 45 which is a hand operatred derringer.
The semi auto AMT Pocket 45 is the smallest in the category. Mine runs flawless with ball ammo and a firm grip.
Here are a few of mine:

I fired a .45 colt Maverick twice, real heavy trigger pull and painful. I'm sticking with my Walther PP.

Colt made the Mustang in .45? I have only seen them in .380.
I saw on the Colt website that they are making Mustangs again which is odd as i thought they sold all the rights and such to Sig for the P238.
