Injured vet’s guns stolen by D.C.

Injured vet’s guns stolen by D.C. After being injured on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, Lt. Augustine Kim spent the night in a D.C. jail for possessing unregistered guns.

I'm so angry all I can see is red. What a travesty. Why is D.C. exempt from the constitution anyway? I thought Heller fixed all this.

It would be a nice gesture if the manufacturers of this soldiers guns replaced them free of charge. I think they could afford it and believe their generosity would be appreciated by the shooting community at large and be rewarded by increased sales.

DC is a legal rat hole, same as NYC.

Illinois and California are rat holes too, but fortunately not as bad as DC and NYC.

.... and that's supposed to be the "capitol" of this country ?

Apparently the minions infesting our nation's capitol don't read the Congressional Record ! Or do they deem themselves superior to the "law of the land" ? IMNSHO, this Marine was "in transit", hence not subject to D.C. ordinances provided he had met/exceeded federal laws for firearms transport !

(And isn't Washington, D.C., "federal reservation" governed by Congress ? )
IAC, seems like a very shabby way to treat a combat veteran ! >MW
