herters press and powder measure

the other day I was given a super3 press and a powder measure. the measure didn't come with a stand and I was trying to figure out how a cheap sob like me could mount it. then I noticed it threads into the press where the dies would normally go. granted it will be at an angle and be turned to the side but is this OK or will it cause problems with inconsistent powder flow?

The measure should be mounted vertical. Mounting at any off vertical angle is not good practice or to be advised.

You can easily fabricate a mounting bracket like the one that comes with the RCBS uniflow. A piece of flat steel or alum 1 1/4 wide by 6 inches long. Drill a 7/8 inch hole in one end and 2 smaller holes in the other. Mount it to a shelf or bench with the small holes. Use 2 die lock nuts to fasten the measure in the large hole.

I may have to go that route. how thick should the steel be? 1/4" or is 14g enough?

Either one will work fine. Use what you can get your hands on. If I was confuser savy, I'd post a picture of mine. We don't have that much time .

I think I got it figured out. 20 minutes after I posted last I started making a stand out of 2x3/4 channel 1/16" thick. after I get the pie cuts welded up and it painted I will try to post some pics.
