New to the Inventory
Brought this home with me today, a Sig 1911-22. Took it apart to find not a drop of lube, nada! It will be Monday before any range time. Trigger is decent, sights are small, and it came with only 1 mag.

Fine looking weapon, for sure. The grip begs for a hand around it.

Re: New to the Inventory
That's a beautiful firearm. Is the weight comparable to a .45?

Re: New to the Inventory
Some more pics to demonstrate how close in size the Sig 1911 22 is to a Colt Govenment .45 (Navy Grips)
Please excuse the cheesy props and fingerprints http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...afer/010-3.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...afer/007-6.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...afer/009-2.jpg |

Re: New to the Inventory
First trip to the range was a success, but not without a hitch or two, or three. First pull of the trigger resulted in a stovepipe. This was repeated several times, each time it was the first round of a fresh 10 round mag. Didn't appear to to do it when 9 or fewer rounds were loaded. Only one mag came with the pistol so nothing to compare. Using Federal American Eagle HV ammo, expended 150 rounds.
First mag resulted in a group, minus 1 flyer, that could be covered with a quarter, shooting two-handed @ 10 yards. Sights are a bit small but they are dead on at that range. The weight of the pistol keep barrel jump next to nothing. The trigger is a real surprise, just a tad of creep but very smooth and lighter than I expected. By the next trip to the range I'll have more mags and try some CCI mini mags. Overall I give it a A to A- |
