Well, there were only two cops......and the guy had mobility,
a wheeled-chair.....despite only having one arm, one leg.......!
AND A PEN !!!!
I can see where the officers feared for their safety, and their lives !!!
The poorly-armed officers only had Glocks......

I mean, this bad guy, a double amputee, took on a friggin' train.....
and lived ! You know he's tough and mean.
It's not stated.....but you know that poor train suffered massive
hemorrhaging from multiple pen stabbings.....

I too would fear for my life.

I agree, stupid people do stupid things! In this case it was a stupid cop! Think about this: suppose that the shooter in this case had been a legally licensed CCW holder, and he had shot the guy in the wheel chair, while claiming that he freared for his life! Do you suppose they would have gave him a 3 day paid vacation?

Being a good cop is a hard job. This guy is not a good cop. A lot of them are afraid and will shoot 1st and ask questions latter.

I agree, too many people are joining the Police Forces when they haven't the nerves or tolerance for it.
I don't think most 'break the law' because they can, they just aren't cut out to be Cops.

Having lived in Houston, when I moved down there in the late 70's, I was told by multiple people not to stop in a dark area if pulled over by the Houston Cops. Find a well-lighted area, convenience store, etc. They had a reputation of shooting people and using a drop-gun to make it appear to be a clean shoot. They got busted big-time in the 80s after shooting some poor kid in a van and getting caught dropping the gun.

Now, they're even more out of control, not concerned about shooting someone who is essentially helpless.

At least the FBI is going to investigate the shooting now.

damn... I understand that LEO's have to deal with tons of crap everyday and some of it can be life threatening but dude, a double amputee, wheelchair bound guy? They seriously need to grow a pair. I'm pretty sure they could've easily taken care of him without lethal force.

I bet we don't hear much more about this case! if it had been a LAC, he would be spending the next 20 years in jail without question. I wonder if we even get to find out if this guy walks or not, probably will get swept under the rug just like the cops in NYC shooting 9 people.

It would have ben to dangerus to yank the chair back from behind and tip it over to imobalize a one armed one leg man.

Near where I live is a small town, Greenwood, LA, 3,200 residents. Drive by the city police dept. on a Sunday, and you will see no less than 9 police cars parked, and several on patrol. How many LEO's do you need? Greenwood, LA, like all other cities, large, and small, have discovered that CRIME does pay! The more cops you can put on the payroll, the more money you can generate! Ten years ago a single cop in the small TX town of Mustang, was writing over $300,000 in tickets each year. It doesn't take a dummy to understand that when you start to saturate a comunity with what ever you can can put in uniform, bad things are just a short distance away!!
