becky

i need to talk about my other half.she recently went to the hospital to have a feeding tube put in so she might get stronger and kick this cancer completely.the cancer is gone but it seems the treatment is going to kill her.unknown to me she made her daughter promise that if any problems she did not want to continue the way she was.well there was problems and they finally took her off the breathing machine.my becky can still breath but not enough to continue living for very long.they give her all the morphine she needs to not have any pain.i think right now she is in a dream world, every now and then she has this great big smile on her face and maybe moves her hands a little.if i lean over and tell her i love her she whispers that she loves me to but she will not react or open her eyes to talk on her own.im 61 and used to be a bad ass ex-marine but with my becky the way she is i am now a cry baby.i can not even think with out thinking of her.sorry to spill my guts but i had to do something to keep my sanity.please say a prayer for her.she is such a special person that i know she will be by Gods side. thank you. old semperfi

Re: becky

You should have a local hospice. Talk to them. My wife is a hospice nurse. Those folks are angels and can give so much physical and spiritual comfort.
God Bless.....................

It's ok to feel that way. God put those emotions there so you'll realize how much you love her, and to remind you that He loves her more.

Prayers for peace and grace and mercy to you and Becky.

+1 on jedwil's comments regarding hospice care. They are truly angels of mercy. God's Love and prayers for you both from one who's been down that path.

Heavenly Father,
I lift Becky up to you now in the name of Jesus. I ask you to touch her & meet her every need during this time. I also pray for OS. Comfort him during this very trying time. May he feel you loving embrace & reassurance that you have his darling wife in YOUR loving hands.

In Jesus Name!

Man you have my prayers and condolances. When we lose family it never really completely heals up. Anyway I know it has got to be gut wrenching.

There are no words to cure times like this.
If I had a magic wand, I would surely let you borrow it.

This is what I believe to be truth :
We as humans make ourselves up to be 'bad-ass ex-marines'.....
but God gave us the emotions.....to grieve, feel pain,....to cry.

I was off the computer when this sad news from O.S. was posted; thank you, Tim, for posting this perfect prayer - it is inspired.

Old semperfi, prayers for you from here. I agree with what tcox prays.

I am grieved to hear about that. You go ahead and get all the time with Becky that you can; we're here to listen, and help any way we can.
