Our Veterans

Thank you to all the men and women for your devotion to the preservation of freedom all over this world. I will be thinking of all those empty chairs of those who never made it back home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

USMC for 8 years, USMCR for 19 more. WMs didn't get combat deployment, but we were there to support a lot of 'em!

Husband had 6 years active, 24 reserve.

Not going to any memorial rides this year, my mending ankle injury is having me sit this one out..

Re: Our Veterans

I don't think I ever finished why I discharged early. I enlisted 4-14-11, shipped out 10-15-11, graduated basic and had 2 weeks of AIT left, was out in wargames in the rain and I fell off a turret of a Stryker and landed on my back. Messed it up bad and was Medically discharged under honorable conditions 12-15-11. Wish I was still in. But the VA is finally getting off there a**es and taking care of me. Been almost a year and still not the same I was before basic. God bless you all who served out your term, wish I could of.

Quote:

So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

And I see not in my blindness
What the objects were I wrought,
But as God rules o’er our bickerings
It was through His will I fought.

So forever in the future,
Shall I battle as of yore,
Dying to be born a fighter,
But to die again, once more.
