Here in Alaska, we have a dem senator (Begich) that faces election in 2 years; he won't get re-elected if he does support it. He has already said he wouldn't support the gun ban treaty by UN. I actually wonder if they can force such nonsense through. I think most would fight it out rather than give them up or start putting them in tubes.

The socialist are scared of the armed American citizen. That the want to ban all these guns. Looks like history is trying to repeat its self as in Germany and Russia. Before semis there were single shot. They worked just as well.

This list has been around for years. I am sure the Dems would like to use it. The Senators are facing a poor economy and a Lame Duck President. They don't really want to take on the NRA.:)

we really should ban all high cap mags, because you know a 10 round magazine is completely incapable of shooting someone. But if I had a 13 round mag, look out!!!!

I don't think the administration's gun ban will pass any time in the near future. First they needs 60 votes in the senate, and they have only 55 democrat senators, and a few of them are pro gun. The house is republican controlled by a comfortable margin, so passage is unlikely at this time. The administration and it's usual suspects will keep trying though, so we must be vigilent. I think the U.N. Small Arms Treaty is a bigger threat, as the senate only is involved to ratify the treaty. There has been some precedent where signed treaties have been enforced up until the point where they were rejected by the senate.
