Songs that Lift you
 

Since there are two threads about songs that do or don't make you sick, I thought I'd start one for songs & hymns that uplift your spirit. I'm working on
2 yrs. since I left my old life behind and was granted a 2nd chance by God.
I still like country & old rock, but I've been drawn to listen to K-Love Radio the most. Here's 3 of my favorites. Lets hear what moves you.

I saw a video with Dee Snyder. On that video he said he was in Jimmy Pages studio one day and could not believe all the pentagrams he had hanging on the walls. So Dee went into Jimmy's bathroom and wrote this.

I dont get into country all that much since the wife and I split up. She would listen to country and so would I when she was here.

There is a song by Rush called "Mystic Rhythms" that captures in a way, the sense of wonder I still feel at nature and all the things in the natural world we appreciate and all the mysteries therein.

Thanks for the input good songs. No offence intended but I think I need to clarify. I'm looking for hymns that you would hear in church or songs from christian radio.

Thanks for the input, lots of good ones. My laptop screwed up not long ago and I lost a lot of stuff that wasn't backed up. Thanks to you all my library is growing again. +1 on Rieu's interpretation and presentation of Amazing Grace. Another song that never fails to choke me up is The Star Spangled Banner.

Thanks guys, all good. In Christ Alone, oh my that's a pretty song. I can't remember ever hearing it before, I had to listen twice. Here's one that could be my ballad that I found back.

I attended a very small little country church some years ago when I was working far from home. A young woman there would sing this next one as a special. She had a great voice, and a very pronounced southern 'twang' to her voice that made this song HERS. This group is close, but too fast -
