What is the best lube for AK-47's

Hey Guys,

I was wondering what y'all think is the best lube for ak's? I am currently using Hoppes lube, but I have only put 200 or so rounds down range with it.

according to what I've seem on most soviet rifles.. they seem to do well on leftover cosmoline, dust and a lil sand.. :) Unlike the AR that likes operating room sterility.. :)

silver bullet gun oil (SBGO) is a favorite on here.

pretty much whatever you have, they don't need very much. Just about any kind will work fine, even dry lube.

I use homebrewed oil, synthetic motor oil and oil stabilizer with a touch of bore solvent.

also I use a barber brush (two actually, one dry that never touches oil and one for oiling) to apply a nice even coat over whatever I need on the gun.
