so, what do you say
do you still say merry Christmas and a happy new year, or do you let the liberal political incorrect influence you by saying happy hollidays

Re: so, what do you say
I'll stick with Merry CHRISTmas and correct anyone and anything I can. It's the celebration of Christ's birthday.
How would you like it if someone came along on your birthday and wished you a "happy rock day" and called attention to everything except you? |

My point is the days of Christmas are about the Holy one Jesus Christ. No one will rob me of my freedom to express it as my heart desires. As far as what others say, I don't have time to correct them because I am trying to fix my own flaws. |
Re: so, what do you say
For me it depends on the time of the year it is... If it's early November. I say have "Happy Holidays"... About a week before Thanksgiving I'll say "Happy Thanksgiving" But, after Thanksgiving is in the history books, it's nothing but "Merry Christmas" up until the 26th of December, then it switches to "Have a Happy New Year".
But, never "Happy Holidays" for Christmas itself. :) |
Re: so, what do you say
if I know the person 'holiday bent' I use correct terms if I know them... if not.. i say merry christmas...
|
Re: so, what do you say

Re: so, what do you say
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
If this offends, Tango Sierra! |
Re: so, what do you say
Merry christmas to you all and may your heart be filled with love and joy to all.
|
Re: so, what do you say
Merry Christmas as always! I've never been nor will be politically correct!!!
|
Re: so, what do you say
I always say Merry Christmas, I hate the 'politically correct' happy holidays nonsense.
|
Re: so, what do you say
I am NOT a "PC" kind of guy.
|
Re: so, what do you say
Merry Christmas, no matter who I am greeting. It tends to pizz me off for someone to say happy holidays to me.
|
Re: so, what do you say
There is a DJ on one of the Local radio stations (Music) that has made my day a time or two. He says, " when I am greeted with "happy holidays" I say, Holidays? And what holiday might that be? When they say "Well Christmas of course". He responds, "OH Christmas, why didn't you say so, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you too.
I have even heard him say it to sponsors that call in to sell their stuff. Wonder how long he can keep this up before he gets canned? |
Re: so, what do you say
Always Merry Christmas am not a pc person. So Merry Christmas to everyone!!!
|
Re: so, what do you say
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year here! Christ is the reason for the season, and no man, or woman, will tell me other wise, or they get to feel my wrath! It ain't the wrath of God, but it works for me! When I'm greated with Happy Holidays, I almost always respond with "so, you're an Atheist, huh".
|
Re: so, what do you say
" Merry Christmas!" may not be politically correct these days, but I have never been accused of being politically correct either. So "Merry Christmas!" it is and always will be.
|
Re: so, what do you say
saying "happy holidays" and meaning it is for the weak minded pansie a$$ freaks with no gut or purpose in life. but if a person is saying it just to appease others, then I let them know how I feel. like the guy at the store ringing the bell. after I corrected him he smiled and said "you are right"
|
Re: so, what do you say
Always say merry x-mas to my customers. If they are offended they don't have to do business with me.
