I got a eagle arms EA-15 with the serial number 9299 is it pre-ban. I tried to look up, but everyone says they don't give a list. The reason I asked the Barrel is a heavy cmp nato 1/7 with flash supressor and bayo lug? I didn't get took in case it is a post ban. Help me out, Please.

Slightly over S/N 30,000 was the Pre-Ban cut-off, call to verify.* (Some Eagle lowers below the 30,000 range were determined to be POST ban by BATF - call to verify) Armalite sells Eagle lowers, but sells factory complete rifles with Armalite lowers.

I contacted Armalite about my lower and they said the serial # predates there ownership of eagle. And told me to contact the ACF? I can not find what she is talking about. Does anybody know what year Armalite bought Eagle Arms. My serial # is 92XX

I'm 99% sure your rifle is pre-ban, the last EA I sold
was in 1993.

Pretty easy to figure out, if it predates Amalites buy out...It`s a preban. No need to "X" out the last two digits, since you placed them in the first post. Best LTS

reply because I believe what he has is an "Essential Arms"
AR-15, in which case if so, it would be in fact Pre-Ban.

Actually I think that he an "Eagle Arms". The Essential Arms model # is J 15 with the serial # beginning with "EA"

Armalite still sells complete Eagle Arms rifles.

There was a company by the name of Essential Arms that made lower receivers but not complete rifles, and they went out of business in 1989 which makes all of their receivers PRE-Ban. This does not really mean that you can put all of the bells and whistles of PRE-Ban guns on this receiver because the law states that in order for you to be able to posses a rifle with all of the features then the weapon had to be assembled as an assault rifle prior to the Ban. However, if you can prove that the weapon was put together prior to the ban then of coarse in theory this would be ok. What I am getting at is, any weapon that has an Eagle Arms lower receiver that is associated with Armalite is Post-Ban and it is true that Eagle Arms cut off serial numbers are somewhere around 30,000. Now Essential Arms had the same type of raised E.A. Co. and serial number but Essential called theirs J-15's. Hope this will help.
