I went by Vintage Industries and meet Dave Byron, Chairman and Technical Director of Vinage (real nice folks there). He gave me a catalog of the grips and butt plates they make. The catalog has 250 pictures of grips, mostly mounted to the orginal hand gun. He said there are over 700 they carry, and many with pictures on the internet (vintagegrips.com) Some rare. If any one needs grips, I would look there. MY COMMISSION, 00.00, just wanted to pass it along.

How is the quality of the Vantage grips? I've looked, but it's hard to tell from a picture. Anyone that collects enough of this old stuff ends up needing grips.

I should have asked him to show me a sample. I compaired a Maltby/Henley/J & N Scotts againt a picture of theirs. I could not tell the difference. They use stainless steel molds, using hand and machine engraving. Sorry Gun Runner I didn't follow through.

The ones I have gotten have been excellent. Hard to tell from the originals except for the "newness" of them.
