Ghurka Khukri
I don't know of many who own a Khukri, I do. It's a stock knife (not a $200 "Tactical" Khukri...please) and, as I'm not trained in it's proper use, I find it a little ungainly.
This gentleman did a fantastic job on his and I thought some of you might be interested in what he did and how he did it. Also there much information contained within his page. Here's the "before" weapon... http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/4...foreot5.th.gif This is the "after"... http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/6...fiedap0.th.gif Enjoy (I did)..."How to Turn a Ghurka Khukri Into a Very Formidable Field Knife" |
Re: Ghurka Khukri
I did enjoy B40's site. His thoughts on blade steel were incisive. Sometimes there is a lot of BS with that subject and he cuts right through it. That's a bookmark.

Re: Ghurka Khukri
An interesting amateur modification. All he did was reshape the handle, grind a swedge on the tip, and cold blue the blade.
