Ghurka Khukri

I don't know of many who own a Khukri, I do. It's a stock knife (not a $200 "Tactical" Khukri...please) and, as I'm not trained in it's proper use, I find it a little ungainly.

This gentleman did a fantastic job on his and I thought some of you might be interested in what he did and how he did it. Also there much information contained within his page.

Here's the "before" weapon...

This is the "after"...

I did enjoy B40's site. His thoughts on blade steel were incisive. Sometimes there is a lot of BS with that subject and he cuts right through it. That's a bookmark.

An interesting amateur modification. All he did was reshape the handle, grind a swedge on the tip, and cold blue the blade.
