H&R FOLDING .410 "SMALL FRAME" LIGHTWEIGHT MODEL
 

Hi,

I have an H&R folding .410. I've read the post which gives values for the folding model, and the lightweight model, but I never saw a value for the "small frame" lightweight model. The gun I have is in pristine condition, and the serial number is 3207. From what I understand, the small frame model is more collectible and more valuable than the others. Any help would be appreciated.

the small frame is what H&R called the lightweight folding shotgun. there were only two basic weights for this model the standard frame and the small frame called lightweight in the catalogs. any of the folding models would be considered collectible as all are limited production and the small frame liightweight models will most likely bring a little more because most small bore shotgun generally with bring a little more that the larger bores.

Thanks for the clarification. Does the serial number have anything to do with value as well; i.e. lower numbers=earlier production?

in the case of the H&R folding model that is limited in production i do not believe a low serial number would help value as the values are already more because of the limited production.

Thanks so much for all of the information. The gun has been in the family for a long time (it was my great grandfather's pheasant gun) and I grew up shooting skeet with it. As much as it seems like it should be so so valuable, I guess that most of it resides sentimentally.
