CZ 82 Pistol

Just purchased a CZ 82 pistol in 9 X 18 Markov. The pistol qualifies as C&R and I bought it from AIM. Anybody have experience with the CZ 82?

Can't wait to play. :D

thanks guys. are there any inherent faults or weak parts to replace..... the CZ 52 is notorious for it's weak firing pin (I replaced mine)

Re: CZ 82 Pistol

no reason to worry the cz82/83 is a newer design than the cz52 and what ever problems occurred with the cz52 are unique to that model only.

No problems that I can speak of either. I have a 83. The only thing that mine did was some undesirable firing b/c the disconnector was just a little short. I made my own and the problem went away. Its a fantastic gun but you need a third hand to completely disassemble them.

I've been looking at the same pistol in .380, the CZ 83. They are asking $415 plus all the other B.S. that goes to making it near $500. Heard that they are very hard to disassemble. TJ

Re: CZ 82 Pistol

Here is a video detailing field strip process. Doesn't look too bad. The design of the pistol is curious. Barrel apprears to remain as a stationary part of the frame. Pulling the trigger guard releases the slide.

Do not go beyond field stripping. Lots of owners who try a tear down end up shipping it to CZ for reassembly or lose parts.

Re: CZ 82 Pistol

They are tough to completely strip and even tougher to put back together. There are certain ways things need to be held to get them in right, ejector and sear come to mind. The barrel is part of the frame. You can get the older 83's for a much better price if you don't mind owning one that was made in the late 80's early 90's. Only difference now is that they have a mag disconnect. Great choice. I love mine

A stronger wolff spring will lesson the recoil snap and make it even more pleasant to shoot. Great pistol

In fact any CZ owners..good stuff here including trigger tune-ups(not sure about the CZ82 'smithing) but lots of stuff for CZ's - including reloading

Yep, you gotta be careful on the trigger tune ups. the 82/83 have a positive hammer to sear engagement. If you mess with it to much undesirable things can happen:eek:
