So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
When I suddenly got the urge to order a CZ82, and did so. Is this like my incurable case of Mosinitis. I already have 10 of THOSE!

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
Oh God, your fell victim too to czitus. The 52 is what started it for me too. Then got myself a CZ83 and 75b and now looking into a RAMI-P. There is no cure and others around you will catch it too.:D

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
The same thing happened to me gangdog56
You are gonna love the CZ 82, pretty sweet pistol. Good shooters too. Who did you go with... AIM or SOG? The commercially available version, CZ83 in 380 sells for well north of 4 bills. Horray for those C&R licenses :D |

My new baby....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...Picture006.jpg All the goodies it came with... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...Picture007.jpg My first order from Century International Arms. Looks good. I was expecting a little more beat up pistol since I ordered their cheapest one. But there is only a couple little wear marks on the slide. |
Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
I could not stop with one cz52. I bought another at an auction lately. and if I come across another at a good price, I will probably buy it too. Haven't had the urge for a higher numbered cz yet, I am getting the urge for a cz50. I am going backwards.

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
Well, out of the 100 I cartridges I shot, I managed to recover 70 of them. Dang guys were sweeping up behind me when I was shooting. So I reloaded the 70. Now I need a new range session to see how they stack up against the Prvis I shot.

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
I have been holding off on ordering an 82 because I was sort of worried about what they look like (how beat up they would be). That one looks great so I am going over the the CIA website and look a little harder at them! Thanks gandog!!

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
Go ahead and get one. Even if the paint looks messed up some, you can strip them and then Blue one up real nice. I got two (2) and took the time to do it. They came out beautiful.

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
I went ahead and ordered one Thursday night. I also got one of the cheapest ones and they are on sale this month - $179.87 each.
The only problem that I now face is that I will have to get some reloading stuff for the 9X18 and of course the 5000 9mm bullets that I already have won't work in the 9X18.;):D |
Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
I have been reloading for my cz-82 and it eats the reload with no problems at all. 95gr Berrys over 3.5gr (IIRC) of hp-38.

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
gandog, I just got my CZ-82 a few minutes ago, it came with two mags and a nylon holster. It looks nowhere near as good as yours does. I will try to post a picture or two tomorrow, I got to leave for work in about 5 minutes (actually right now).

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
Did you get the $187 one? I did and it just looks great. Was I just lucky? I have seen rather beat up ones advertised and at auction.

Re: So I Was Cleaning My CZ52
I did get the $180 one. There is a good bit of wear on the muzzle, both sides of the slide, and the front of the grip. It actually looks like more than wear, it looks like some of the finish is flaking off, specially on the slides. I still haven't taken any pictures of it, I hope to a little later.
The way it shoots makes up completely for the looks, though. I went out in the back yard after church on Sunday and put about 20 rounds through it. At about 15 yards, I had one big ragged hole with 4 flyers, about a three inch group. I am much more pleased with it than I thought I would be. EDIT: Added some pictures, the first one shows the CZ-82 as received and the other three show some of the wear on the pistol, one side of the slide and the front and back of the grip. |
