Again, good story. But again I say, three shots to the lower body? And he is still alive?

Re: No retreat law at work
I think unless no major organs are hit that people can live for days gut shot... no doubt he was in extreme pain (unless he's completely high on something) but sure, even with a .38 that doesnt seem to unreasonable.
I dont know... I seem to recall where postings about shooting someone while defending yourself were used as evidence against someone. Wasnt it that Pharmacist? Defended himself but shot the guy (again?? i think??) outside the building and that was why they charged him with manslaughter or murder 2? It's BS, criminals create the situation, they willfully force it to happen, and anyone, anyone on this board, or your sister, mother, nephews or grandparents could be just going about their day and then all of a sudden they are in a life and death situation that they had no idea was about to happen. We've got to stop coddling criminals, jail should be something so oppressive they never want to return, break the cycle of dirtbags escalating from one crime to the next and spending years of their lives behind bars on our dime, while they become progressively more and more violent and skilled at manipulating the law. |

Re: No retreat law at work
Well, I told the story here quite a while back that I met a guy that had been shot with a 9mm someting like 11 times and I actually talked to him. He was drunk and trying to kick down his ex wifes front door. Now, here is a guy thats probably 300 pounds but even still. He charged the cops when they got there. He took 11-12 9mm hits. He was tore up but survived it. Some were limb shots. I have had people call me a liar but I saw many of the wounds. So, 3 shots and surviving is possible. I just have my doubts with 185 grain 45acp golden sabre hollow points the outcome would be the same. I guess anything is possible.

Re: No retreat law at work
A contract we had when I was with GE had me at a medium sized town, and my job was to replace all of the computers (Y2K) and I'm doing SWAT and I get there and see like 20 cases of Rhino .45 frangible rounds and I was drooling, and said loudly "HEY LOOK!!!!" and pointed off to the other direction. My escort said "nice try :) "
