Eagle Mark2

What's the status of the Eagle Mk2 .45 ACP? Made in the early '60's, fires from an open bolt, looks like a Thompson SMG with a M3 Grease Gun receiver and uses M3 mags. Are they subject to the NFA or not?

Yep. Machineguns.

I forgot to mention, it's a semi-auto, but I don't know if the ATF decided they were too easy to convert.

I'm pretty sure they are considered machineguns.

Bill is right. My dad owns an Eagle Carbine. A later version of the Mark 1 and 2... A Spitfire to be exact. And it is not technically a "full-auto" firearm. According to most, its a semi... Everyone except ATF anyways. But if you hold the safety, while you pull the trigger, it'll keep cycling 'til the mags are empty! This is why the BATFE classified the Spitfire as an MG, but the design flaw built into the Spitfire may not be present on the Mark 1, and 2... But I seriously doubt it. The spitfire was the evolution of the Mark series carbines. I have a feeling they are under the same classification. But check to be sure! You may be surprised!
