Looking for opinions

Looking to get my 1st hand gun. Looking for a full frame .45 The local shop has a couple in my price range (under $400) Looking at used guns at the moment. I've got it down to 3 choices Ruger P97DC, Ruger P345 or Springfield Armory XD-45 acp. I am leaning towards the XD-45, but would like some other opinions.

Of those, I would choose the XD-45.

I own an XD45 and would recommend it to anybody. I got it used at a shop for $330 and I love it. It's very stubborn, in that it refuses to jam. Reliable, accurate, comfortable to shoot, and a piece of cake to field strip and clean. Seems to love Rainier 230 gr. hardball with about 5.1 of AA#2.

XD would easily be my choice from that list.

I agree with the above...... the XD is a fine gun and with the pre-cocked stricker it will have afar superior trigger pull than the other pistol under consideration.

Re: Looking for opinions

I have bought two XD's and did not like either one of them. one was a .40 and the other was a .357 Sig. I can't explain it but they just did not feel good in my hand. Good luck with yours.
