About the only thing I can think of is pour some lube down he barrel. If that doesn't work you could unbreech it and drive the ramrod out from the breech end.

A cheap lub can be made using a toilet bowl ring. Melt it and add a little Crisco in. Toilet bowl rings are mostly bee wax. Also works good as a minie ball lub.:D

The lock is original and was never a flintlock. Goulcher made thousands of these locks for export and they were used by many many gunsmiths in the 1800's. There are no extra holes in the lockplate...
