About the only thing I can think of is pour some lube down he barrel. If that doesn't work you could unbreech it and drive the ramrod out from the breech end.
Let me guess. You didn't clean it...

They use them all the time at the NMLRA shoots. I personally don't use one. If I dry ball I just pull the ball on a flintlock. If it's percussion I remove the nipple and fill the drum with 4F and...

They were well made Repros. If the bore is good you can shoot it. Start with about 45 grains (by volume) of 2F.

Re: Cap & Ball Sixgun: Advice from 1930
A cheap lub can be made using a toilet bowl ring. Melt it and add a little Crisco in. Toilet bowl rings are mostly bee wax. Also works good as a minie ball lub.:D

Re: bullet sizers for Minnie Balls
Old Bull
If your musket shoots a 580 OK, I would not go to a smaller diameter. They tend to rattle down the barrel and accuracy suffers. If it ain't broke don't fix it.:)

Re: looking for info on 1917 Eddystone
Please do drill and tap it for a scope. That will make the ones I have worth more.
If yours is full military it's worth 400 to 700 dollars. Drill and tap it and you may get 200 for it.
