I have two that I inherited. A Double Nine and a Sentinal model. The Sentinal is much more refined than the Double Nine and a better shooter, but both function flawlessly.

Although I have two highly modified 10/22 rifles that shoot flawlessly, for out of the box, the Marlin 60 gets my vote. Accurate and perfect functioning with no tweeking.

I have popped a few with my Ruger MKI. Just luck though, I was out in the yard with my pistol when I saw them tunneling right in front of me both times. Actively hunting them would be frustrating...

A Mossberg .22 semi auto my dad bought me back around 40 years ago. But sadly the rifle malfunctioned right out of the box and dad returned it and I ended up with a Glenfield 25. Many a teen day...
