My own opinion is that the para ord commander in 45 is also a very good gun, about 1000 rds and not one bobble ,accurate and the recoil is not what many think, its more of a "shove" than any bad...

xracer thanks for the observation, i do agree its a sweet shooter and one i plan on holding onto. Perhaps i shouldn't have chromed it, but bluing on the slide was slightly worn and to hard to keep...

need an approx worth

I have a witness sport long slide 45 that i know was manufacured in '92, serial # is:AE16XXX, the frame is finished in wonderfinish or nickle, and slide is blued, gun has checkered wooden grips...

to add to that about using gun wax--- DONT DO IT, the finish now looks even duller than before, redid with gun oil lightly and letting it sit, flitz is great on ss but wont use it or wax on ...

to answer my own question, the lAdy at flitz said perhaps not a good idea to us flitz on that finish as the cleaning slovent in it very well MAY eat into the acid thats used to parkerize the gun,...

just purchased a "parkerized" finished RIA, AND WONDERING if it would be ok to use the flitz to clean it outside on slide and frame, see nothing against its use on that but wanted to be sure...
