6000 miles since rebuild......
Did the rebuilder change the final drive ratio?
Even if it wasn't changed, these transmissions had different gear ratios depending on original application.

Depends on why the converter is not locking up. For the most part though the answer is no. There are some cooling issues with these trans in high gear, so spinning the extra revs might cause some...

The shelves are bare here, have been for months. You have to be a friend of a friend or "know a guy" to buy ammo around here. It's ridiculous.

It's not the feeding action that can suffer, it's actually closing the bolt with the round chambered. The reloading gurus could give you the exact numbers, but some of it is long. I shoot tons of it...

The least expensive 30-06 you're likely to find is HXP from the CMP. $98 +$11.95 ship for 200 rounds loose in an ammo can. You average about 204 rounds, and do have to jump through the fairly easy...
