I have compared your magazine base numbers with others in my files and I believe that I can state with certainty that they are legitimate. Great closeup photos. You have a last variation, late war SS...

Re: Pre-WW2 Bank Walther PPK

Well Val,
This really is not my area of expertise. As you said, the known Reichsbank contract for PPK's puts them out of the factory ten years earlier than this gun. But still, it looks good in...

Most were much earlier as Valbehaved said. Although it looks good. Pantograph, etc. Here's a funny photo of the Reichsbank employees practicing with their PPK's. Would not have wanted to be the front...

You will need to find the last three digits of the serial number inscribed inside the slide to confirm that the frame and slide belong together as manufactured.

Re: Walther PPK # 834178

Rare variant and a pretty nice example. The holster probably was paired with a late war PPK at one time. Still and all a great keepsake.

Re: WWII Walther PPK Value

I'm sorry, I don't really understand. All RZM marked PPKs went to NSDAP members.
I also do not understand the comment regarding a concentration camp name.
Please forgive my ignorance.

Re: WW2 Walther PPK w/Swastika Grip

Re: Walther pp 7.65mm

Walther chose to designate the caliber exactly as the original poster noted it.
Actually they called it "7,65 m/m"
Postwar, they dropped the slash and it became "7,65mm.

Rob,
Your gun is authentic SS Issue and one of the most rare variations. The magazine is also legit but from a different PPK.

In it's condition, it will not bring top dollar, but still a rare gun.

No, the barrel is a separate unit pressed in and pinned. It can be replaced. That is why it has a separate proof. Frame, slide and barrel are each proofed.
