You will need to find the last three digits of the serial number inscribed inside the slide to confirm that the frame and slide belong together as manufactured.

Your gun is authentic SS Issue and one of the most rare variations. The magazine is also legit but from a different PPK.
In it's condition, it will not bring top dollar, but still a rare gun.

No, the barrel is a separate unit pressed in and pinned. It can be replaced. That is why it has a separate proof. Frame, slide and barrel are each proofed.
