Re: Mosin Nagant Safety Question

I have four and just started shooting each one, no problems. As far as busting a case; with old steel cased mil surplus it is not unusal for the case to split, still no problem. Jim.

High Standard Double-nine

Just courious, more about the age than the value. It has serial # 1397xxx and under that W-104 on another line. Nickle plated with hard plastic grips. It does have a little pitting on the frame...

Re: Need help buying a Mosin-Nagant 1891/30.

Get a C&R, $30 for three years and many places will give you a dealer discount; Midway and Brownells among others. Then UPS will bring them to your home. Jim.

Re: S&W 4506 ejector spring replacement

I called S&W and they recommended shooting factory ammo and see if the problem could be the reloads. I checked the spring pressure against a 645 and a 4513 and the 4506 seems to have the least...

Re: S&W 4506 ejector spring replacement

You are absolutley correct, I meant the extractor spring. As far as I can see and feel the extractor doesn't seem damaged. I think I will go with the spring replacement idea but check the extractor...

Re: S&W 4506 ejector spring replacement

Full power reloads, I shoot IDPA so I have to have 165000 power factor minimum. The rounds I was using run about 186000 power factor; 230grX810fps=186000. Jim.

S&W 4506 ejector spring replacement

I have a 4506 that won't allways eject the spent brass, not a stovepipe but does not pull brass out of the chamber. Considering the age I am guessing the ejector spring has gotten weak. Can anyone...

Re: BSA scope

I put a BSA handgun scope on a Super Redhawk 454Casull three years ago and it is fine after several hundred rounds. I didn't know if I would like a scope on a handgun so I didn't want to spend much...

Re: .41 Magnun VS. .45 (long) Colt

I reload for both and I think that is the only econimical way to shoot either round. The .41mag is a great round and factory loads are quite potent, but not at all cheap. You can find heavy .45...

Re: Barak Obama the greatest man in the world,

He is a Chicago Democrat. Now, if I said he was anti gun that would be repeating myself. Jim.

I just got one yesterday, cleaned it and went to the range. Excelent gun, all matching numbers and a shiny bore. The stock is a little dinged up but not bad for being the origonal stock mfg. in...

Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull comes with 1" rings and you have the option of shooting 45Colt. If you handload you have wild to mild and anything in between. Jim.

Re: Winchester Mod 61

I just happen to have a model 61 also with a Weaver scope serial #83xxx. Mine has been shot some but not a lot, I would say at least 90% condition and origonal. A real nice fun gun, but I am more...

Cool, yes the 61 22 S,L,LR is the round barrel. The 67 22 S,L,LR is also a round barrel and does have the finger grooves and the takedown screw is not countersunk. So, that means it is from 1932 to...
