They will hold 10 but it takes force get get the last one in the mag. I'm told that loading up the mag and letting it set for a couple of days will loosen the spring. The Glock loader can be junked...

Re: Anybody ever use "Black Bullets"?
I've used BBI in 9mm (147 gr LFN) and 45 acp 200 gr LSWC) and am very happy with them. They are fairly uniform, the coating is hard and clean, and best of all they shoot clean and are as accurate as...

Picking up this thread again, you didn't say which model (20 or 29), but if it was me I would only consider the trade if it was for the 20.

Try a good 'smith rather than try to tackle it yourself. I had a similar issue with one of mine and the price of a 'smith was cheap compared to screwing up a good pistol.

IMO, keep the 30 and save for the 20/29. The G30 is a good size and, as you probably know, very accurate. I have a Colt 10mm and really like the caliber, but if you don't reload, they can be much...

It is probably worth that amount, especially in today's climate, but I wouldn't spend that for it. For the cost, I would happily settle for a new Ed Brown--but that's just me.

If I remember correctly the Dillon Square Deal requires dies made specifically for it. Other than that (to my knowledge) interchangeability isn't a problem with modern equipment.

And, don't worry, they won't cause leading. The problem with plated bullets is that high velocities the plating can separate from the core and your accuracy will go to pot.

I've found Speer to give pretty realistic velocity data. For 230 LRN (use for plated) they show 5.1-5.6 with the upper velocity of 831 fps. That is with an OAL of 1.27". Just start low and work up...
