Re: Do you have an Ar-15 rimfire conversion kit?

Re: 22LR or 22WMR ?

I bought a CZ FS in 22 mag. After some thought I thought it would make a good P-dog rifle. It wears a Leupold 4-12 right now.

Re: Reloading for 45/70

I also like Varget in my .45-70 Shiloh Sharps. I use Trailboss in the Trapdoor, gives a nice easy on the shoulder load.

Re: S&W 357, model 686 MO Hwy Patrol

I'd say Alpo explained it pretty well. Some of the shops around here want to make 20% to 40% when they resell a gun.

Re: CZ 83 value

Around here the .380 goes $75 - $100 more than the CZ82 in 9x18. I've seen the 83's at gunshows for $275 to $375. But they were also still sitting on the tables.

Re: Ruger charger

The S/N are different so they know which reciever you have. But get one, they are a hoot to shoot.

Re: .270 Winchester loads

My Ruger M77 in .270 will shoot Sierra .130gr FB into .75" @ 100yds using the old Oconner load of IMR4831. You can use H4831 also but you have to drop the powder charge.

Re: Suggestions for red dot for S&W 41

I don't have a S&W 41 but I do have a red dot on my charger. It's a Truglow. I bought it to see how I liked a red dot and only paid $50 for it. So far I haven't had a problem with it. Some time it is...

Re: Good 5-round group out of a 10/22 carbine at 50 yards?...

I'd have to say 3" sitting at 50yds is great. Guys with heavy barreled target rifles that are sand bagged talk about 1" or under. So a standard rifle, sitting, I think is great. ;)

Re: New to handguns

I've had 2 Rough Riders, a 5 1/2" and a longer barrel one I believe was 7". I paid less than $100 for each of them new and they are well worth the money. They are not target pistols but are great...

Re: ruger 10/22 changer pistol and the ruger 10/22 race rilfe.

I have about 700 rounds through my Charger since April. The first thing I did was change the trigger it really was bad, hard pull, grity, lots of take up and a bolt buffer.

The inside were the...

Re: Thinking about Reloading

I started with a Lee also, the one where you use a hammer to seat everything. It's a easy cheap way to get into reloading. Now 20 years later I use an RCBS single stage press. RCBS, Lee, Redding &...

Re: .357 Magnum Versus 357 SIG

My brother has one and although he has never tried a penetration test I think it sounds good when it goes off. It's hard to tell about recoil because of the different grip shapes between a revolver &...

Re: Russian Nagant M1895

I have two of them and they are fun to shoot. I bought a .32 cylinder from FAC back when they were in business and didn't like it. Now I reload using .32-20 brass and trailboss using .32 mag data.

Re: The "Stupidest" Gun Deal you ever made...

A couple years back when I was first getting into surplus rifles I bought a SVT40 for $225. Then I sold it at a gunshow along with a tin of Russian ammo on strippers for $150. Now look at the price...
