Re: What is the best Tokarev Pistol?
I am the fortunate owner of two fireball Tokarevs: One Russian TT33, and also a Yugo M57. The major difference being the M57 has a 9 round magazine; the TT has an 8 round mag.
They are both a blast...

Re: Winchester model 50 20 ga.
Hey Tarheel, TGIF! Thanks for the info. Of course we hoped it was priceless, but he does say it is a sweet shooter, so maybe he'll just hang on to it.
Thanks again, CB.

Re: Questions about Mosin 91/30 or m44?
Thanks to Will G for the Mosin sites.
I have one 91/30 (marked "New England Westinghouse Company 1915"), and one 1944 carbine (Chinese I assume..can't read that lingo) appears to be 1953...

Need to aquire M57 Yugo magazines
Anyone know where I might purchase extra magazines for my Yugo M57?
So far they do not appear to be easy to locate.
Appreciate any help. CB

Re: If the stuff really hits the fan.
To killbuck: I love my Garand too; (really my favorite gun), and I have sufficient ammo, and supplies for it, and would trust it in combat.
I'm just saying to get the (really cheap) tough Mosin and...

Re: If the stuff really hits the fan.
I have to agree with SKI and Cycloneman: 1. Military surplus weapons are by definition going to be tougher, and function better in adverse conditions (like a mosin in 30 below zero weather, or an ak...

1917 Eddystone, Mosin M1891 (New England Westinghouse) values?
Merry Christmas!
Can anyone help me establish ballpark dollar values for two of my favorite rifles; New England Westinghouse manufactured M1891, and my (first collector rifle) Eddystone Model of...

Re: M57 stuck magazine
I fingered it out after looking inside the action about 10 times. There was a tiny piece of cosmoline-soaked thread hanging up on the underlip of the magazine follower; also stuck on slide stop pin. ...

M57 stuck magazine
I just bought a nice-looking M57 Yugo (Zastava). My buddy and I took it to the range today. It was shooting fine for about 50 or 60 rounds, then after firing the last round in the magazine, instead...
