Re: Gunmaker question-How long will a polymer last, say HK USP 45

Thanks for the info. Everyone talks like they will disintigrate in 10-20 years yet I see polymer hand grip panel on revolvers over 100 years old that look like new, usually far better than the gun...

Gunmaker question-How long will a polymer last, say HK USP 45

From an engineering/design standpoint what is the estimated life of the polymers used in a modern day pistol like an HK USP 45 or a Glock 9mm?

I hear that they will never stop curing and...

Great picures!

It looks to me like the cartridge case stretched and cracked around a weak circumference of the case.

Re: 1911 / High Power Question

The story as I know it is that Browning sold the 1911 design to Colt. When some European arms makers asked him to design a pistol for them he couldn't use the 1911 design because he sold it to Colt....

Re: AR 15 -Piston or no piston

I vote no-bolt!

If you don't like to clean a rifle then don't buy any semi-auto. The gas they all use to cycle the round has to go somewhere and you will eventually have to clean it. If that is...

Re: First 1911 suggestions

If you want accuracy, reliability, and quality in a .45 acp I'll recommend a different Browning based design from the 100 year old 1911. It is used by many LEO's and military folks. It has a recoil...

Re: I made a $1200 mistake today

If you get a chance shoot an HK USP 45. It is a 1911 on steriods.

And it doesn't cost $1,200 unless you want to get a combat tweaked model.

3. Improved
4. Modified
5. Full
6. Extra Full (the tightest choke)
