Re: Finally!

The SW1911PD gets nicer as I get a few rounds through it and learn to shoot it.

Now that I'm a 300 round "expert" I took a young friend out for his first time shooting. I felt a little guilty,...

Re: Finally!

Holy Cow! I put 5 out of 8 rounds in a 10" bull at 65 yards! I like this thing.

Re: Finally!

I took the Smith out this afternoon and it shot very nicely, proving that it was the shooter that needed adjustment. An improved grip put most of the rounds in the black and chewed up the soda cans....

Re: Finally!

I wonder what will happen if I mature.

I've been having some sort of connective tissue problem in my elbows and wondering what it is about the Garand that might cause that. Turns out that it's...

Re: Finally!

I'm sure that the highest probability is that it's pilot error. I've been working on my grip to observe the effects of different positions and trigger pull. It's an education to squeeze, hold and let...

Re: Finally!

What is stovepiping?

The recoil is considerable, but doesn't bother me, so there aren't any anticipation problems (that I'm aware of). The mainspring housing is flat.

In dry firing exercises...

Re: Finally!

It's been suggested that the problem is in my inexperieced grip, one that is too light. I'll modify it and see how that goes. I think that the shooter, especially this new pistol shooter, is most...

These are indeed 230 grains. I told the man behind the counter that I wanted to shoot paper and that's what he gave me. If there has been any monkeying with the sights I would be angry because this...

Well, after 100 rounds, it seems as if it shoots true but about 6" high at 75'. I got some good groups although not in the right place. I picked off a few soda cans at 50 yards because it seems...

Re: A Source of Info About Accoutrements?
