Re: Canadian Government promises handgun ban if re-elected

Hello all,

The anti-gun folks have their ammo and I fear it's the straw that will break the camel's back.

There was a shooting amongst rival gangs in downtown Toronto amidst holiday shoppers...

Re: Need some advice on CCW weapon choice.

To be frank, I'm not a fan of either Glock or the XD's trigger. I just answered based on ncglock's choices.

Personally, I'd go for a compact 1911 in .45.

Re: Need some advice on CCW weapon choice.

The difference between the HK and XD to me?
I think the XD is the best value. .40 S&W would be a great combo for a compact gun.

Re: Need some advice on CCW weapon choice.

If you're defending the "castle", do you need to CCW? I would think your Glock 17 would fit the bill, or perhaps a shotgun.

Anyways, if I had to choose between your picks, I would take the XD.

I live in country where you can't CCW, so I'll have to live vicarously through your answers.

When you're out in the rain, what steps to you take to protect the gun from rust?
