The hammer must contact the bolt in order to cock. How bad does it drag? There will always be some but if its scoring the bottom of the bolt then something is wrong but what your describing is normal.

Ive seen that before. The Witness F-pin heavily protrudes and wont retract by they time the slide opens. Wolff sells a Recoil spring kit that has a f-pin spring with it. That solves that problem.

Armalites specs are used on more other makers but DPMS parts are easier to obtain. Armalite has a lifetime warrenty, DPMS only 3. DPMS is a better buy. Armalite is a more refined gun.

Having both of them, I lean towards the CZ. The SR9c may carry easier bc it is lighter but with a decent holster, the CZ is a good companion.
