Re: sniper rifle lapua or winchester magnum
338 Lapua is a fine round, very accurate, but very expensive, but a little less if you reload. I hear the .300 WinMag is a fine round, too, and pretty accurate and does not as much as the Lapua...

Re: If barrel length does not affect accuracy
For the most part, barrel length (regular barrel, not the 20lb bull barrels) affects distance. If you have 2 identical style guns, say single shots, for simplicity, one is a 2" pistol and the other a...

Re: FEG AP9 blowback issue
I had one for the South African Police in .380 and it only stove-piped, once, with Remington ammo. I'd think, in your case, that it needs a newer/better spring.

The next gun show after the one, this weekend, should be in March. I'm considering one, possibly a Sig, if the price is reasonable.

Re: 45acp under 1k
The Sig 1911 has the Sig-Sauer name, but is made in America by Americans (or, so they claim with a lot of there 1911 models). While I do like the XD line, I also like Sig-Sauer.

2 dry, yet strong, sticks and something as kindling, like brown straw or moss (dry/dried). A flint stone or rod works great, too.

Called the cops after they ran, let them handle the leg work. If they want to return, I'll just be a little more covert and pop there tires and see how far they go.

Re: What justifies .40 S&W?
What justifies a .40 is the need for something larger then a 9mm, but more ammo than in a typical .45 handgun, but more control than a full 10mm.

Re: AR-50 Beowulf
If you get a hold of an upper, you should be able to use any multi-cal lower. At least, that's what I heard. Even if you did get it kinda cheap, the ammo is still $30-50 a box, unless you hand/reload.
