I fired a friend of mine's r1 and fell in love. Great gun, but this one had a jamming issue. Not sure if it was specific to that gun or they have a reputation for it.

Don't worry, I spent the time to find proper black powder ammo. From now on it is a shelf piece, but it's nice to know it works

Also, I just removed the grips and saw that the serial number there reads 5837. I have no idea what to make of this. Is it just a manufacturing mistake? The cylinder and ejector read 837 and it seems...

Thanks for your help, but that is the serial number that I saw when I removed the cylinder. There was no letter prefix which is one of the reasons I am so perplexed by this.
