Mag Well separating from frame??

Hi all - Here is a pic of my new 1911... The Mag Well (I think that is what it is called) is bending down from the frame. The pic is kinda crappy, but I needed to get in closer than my camera...

Hi Gang - I am interested in a .30 caliber target rifle. I think I'd prefer bolt action, but would be open to other options.

I'd even go with a smaller caliber (i.e., .223) if everything else...

So what about the argument that the 165gr bullet has higher energy? Shouldn't higher energy translate to higher stopping power?

I'm assuming that at defensive ranges, match-like accuracy is lower...
