Remember that a light on your weapon also shows the bad guy exactly where you are and gives him a target to aim at.....the light,which means you are an easier target to hit...hit the light...hit you.

As with "all" pistols keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire the weapon.Obey this basic safety rule on all weapons and the question is moot.
