Re: Russian Nagant M1895

I've fired both .32 long and H&R mags in it. The magnums seem to throw more sparks out the revolver cylinder than the longs which come back to your face. No fun. Anyway, trying to aim it slow...

Re: CZ 82 advice...

They are both great weapons! The M57 is a single action that shoots the 7.62x28 round, the one that has been demonstrated to penetrate everything. It is very accurate, but hard to justify for home...

Re: Handguns that you wouldn't buy again (and why)

S&W Sigma because of the darn long, heavy trigger and the Kel-Tec P11 for the same reason. That was supposed to be a safety measure I'm sure, but it wore me out so I traded them. I have Glock,...

Re: glock chop

I think you did a great job. I can see the point of the operation, more accuracy with more conceal ability. Good job. My only problem with this particular gun is that the grip on this one (the...

Re: poll: Glocks - luv 'em, hate 'em or in between

I love them. I'd like to know what happened to the Glock 37 and other models that use the .45 G.A.P. round. It's fun to shoot, really accurate and according to the chart that MidwayUSA uses to rate...

Re: 9x18 Makarov

I like the 9x18 round. I hated my PA-63 until I took a file and some sandpaper to the sharp edges at the rear. It used to eat the web of my hand, not pinching it but with sharp edges. After I...

Re: Taurus 709 accuracy experience

There are good days and bad days for shooters. That said, try again. Concentrate on your grip. Are you gripping it tight enough with your shooting hand. This not only controls recoil, but helps...

Re: Springfield XD Compact 45 ACP

I totally agree! I traded my Glock G22 .40 cal for an XD40 as the Glock didn't fit my hand, now matter what I did to change my grip. The XD was comfortable and accurate right ouf of the box!!

Re: Self taught??

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was aiming at. MY steel shed in GA used to sound like a hail storm during dove season. I know .22's and bigger rounds drop harder. Just want to keep folks...

My new CVA Wolf .50 cal shoots fine!

I started out (after a good cleaning, with 90 gr of FFg and ball with patch. Worked well, though the second ball didn't want to go in so well. That's when I remembered that you are supposed to...

Re: BP hunting...load suggestions

Thanks JJmitchell60. That was good info. I really needed a range of bullets and loads to work with. I guess you caught the part about it being a .50 caliber. I'll know more about it Tuesday when...

BP hunting...load suggestions

Hi, I'm just getting started with BP. I've been shooting semi-autos and hunting with rifle and shotguns for seems like a hundred years, but now I've got the BP bug. I just bought a CVA inline .50...

Re: Self taught??

Hi, I'm new here as well, but not new to hunting or shooting, only BP. My question as it relates to this is how far will a BP ball go if you are shooting up at squirrels? So many modern arms...
