Re: I never wish ill of anyone but.....

In my case, I put off buying primers and powder until I had a reloading rig and was ready to start loading. I should have bought them then when I could have goten them. I didn't realize that the...

Re: Does anyone reload .357 sig

It seems to me that anything that isn't used by the military or is "fairly" new in popularity will be fairly easy to find components and dies for. But the real issue right now is finding powder and...

Re: Crimped primer removal

Thanks Rusty. I have a couple of wrenches I can put on there to tighten the collet (or sten?) as much as I can. Maybe it won't slip. I've got over 2000 more .223 left to decap with crimped...

Re: Using the Lee hand press?????

I think I'll get one of those Lee hand presses just in case. That Hungtonton one looks nice but it's bit too pricey for me at this stage.

Re: Brass moochers

I don't have to worry about moochers down at my farm but it's a three hour drive. So I don't get down there but once every month or two.

Sometimes I have to deal with picking up my brass out of...

Re: Reloading Stuff

Well isn't that the way yer' 'sposed to do it? I cain't let that goober outbid me! That 45 die set is a steal at $83 and it's only missing the seating die, the decapping pin and the lock...

Re: Crimped primer removal

You're right, I'm NOT using the decapping die when I'm using the hammer. That would be stupid. Note that I said "hit the decapping PUNCH".

I stopped using the decapping die on my 223 and some of...

Re: who's reloading tonight?

I'll look on the MidSouthShooter site again for 223 dies. I really like the Lee Pacesetter set. I have had a set on order from Lee since March 16. I sent them an email yesterday inquiring about my...

Re: Crimped primer removal

The Lee Universal Decapping Die is what I was using. It kept pushing the pin back out of the die. This is on once fired PMC brass that I fired.

Maybe I just don't have the strength to tighten...

Re: Brass moochers

I was shooting a Marlin 1894 chambered in 45 long colt. When the brass ejects it goes right over my right shoulder onto the ground.

I was wearing a (loaded) Sig P228 as a sidearm with a Sig P226...

Re: who's reloading tonight?

I also meant to say that I'm reloading some more .308 tonight and tomorrow. I'm going to bump up the powder a step and load five then bump it up again and load five more up to the load _under_ the...

Re: who's reloading tonight?

Nice job on those primer pockets, CJ7365 (Rob).

I've got a Hornady primer pocket reamer that I haven't used, yet. I have several thousands of .308 military crimp cases and several thousand more...

Crimped primer removal

Does any one make a decapping die specifically to deal with crimped primers? The punch, base and hammer thing is getting rather tiresome and my wife complains about the noise.

I've tried just...

Brass moochers

I went to the gun range on Saturday and fired a bunch of different calibers of stuff. I always clean up my lane area before I shoot and police it afterward to account for all my brass.

Upon...

Re: Walmart Ammo

I just last week found four boxes of Remington .308 150grn Core-Lokt JHP at my local Walmart for $18.97 a box and bought all four. They also had three boxes of 50ct .223 55grn fmj (Winchester, I...

Re: New loaders

I'm a handloading noob and have been slowly building up a loading rig when I can find the bits I need for my rifles (223 and 308). I finally got everything together for the 308 and re-loaded 20...

Re: Another old 32 Revolver

I have found a couple of sources for stuff regarding the 32SC (Short Colt) round.

Buffalo arms sells a reloading die set, new brass, boxed bullets ($32 for 50) and bullet moulds ($125 each OUCH!)....

Re: Another old 32 Revolver

Thanks!

I found that place on the web for buying complete rounds. It says it uses a "heeled" round nose .312 80 gr bullet. I'm looking for bullet molds, now since I now know the bore size. The...

That's good advice (IMHO), Alpo. I'll remember that in future.

Colt Pocket Positive 32SC ca 1935

My father has a Colt Pocket Positive that is chambered .32 Short Colt (I'm pretty sure of that chambering).

He has only fired it about 50 times since he got it out of hock with a pawn ticket a...

Re: Red/Green Color Blindness

I, too, am color-blind (red-green) but I see blue and yellow okay. I only go out with my guns on my own land (I have a farm in east Georgia). I always wear a blue and yellow vest when I'm on my...

Hi folks! This is my first post on this forum. I'm not new to forums but I'm new to this one. So, howdy! :)

Now, on to my question.

My father has a Colt Pocket Positive that has .32 Colt...
